Municipal Reports and Guides

For a couple years I worked with a Civil Engineer firm in the Transportation Sector providing design services for their manual and report projects. I continue to enjoy working with a few teams in this industry as clients. One could almost refer to this work as a “Blue Era” since so many Ontarian municipalities and organizations prefer a palette of blues in their branding and communications. This editorial style design work demands patience, keen spatial problem solving and finding the balance between consistent, appealing design with legibility and information flow. Another unique aspect of this type of work is coordinating information, data, and written content, as well as review and approval across large teams.

Fun fact: Stock photography of local towns and cities can be few to find online. So I would sometimes drive to these towns to take my own photos of the community so the public readers could enjoy and recognize their home town.
